Woo Friday!

I know I say it a lot, but seriously. This week can not come to an end fast enough!! Just a few more hours now...

We have some fun stuff planned for the weekend. Tonight I'll be heading out to the Hollywood Bowl with Beth for Opening Night, and the induction of Josh Groban into the HB Hall of Fame. Garth Brooks is hosting, and there will be several performances besides Josh Groban as well. Oh, and it ends with fireworks! Seriously, a bottle of wine, music under the stars, and fireworks? What more could you ask for?

Aaron will be off to a party while I'm out galavanting tonight. And tomorrow we'll be headed to Refugio for a beach day with his family. They've been camping out all week and will be coming home on Sunday, and since Refugio is like Mecca to the VD's, we need to make the pilgrimage! Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can spend some time on the beach, some time around the fire, and lots of time eating!

And of course Sunday is Fathers Day. Happy Fathers Day, dads! We're not really sure what's going on, but whatever it is will probably be made more fun by our presence. ;)

Summer Vacation

Okay, so we don't actually get to take summer vacation this year. If we're lucky, maybe we'll take a sick day for a three day weekend or something, but our "real" vacation isn't until September.

Nevertheless, I'm trying to think of this summer as "Summer Vacation," and am trying to come up with as many local, fun things to do as possible on the weekends.

So far, I'm thinking:

-The Greek Festival (this weekend!)

-Concerts in the park

-4th of July Street Fair

-Wine and food pairing

-The Fair!

-Beach days (natch)

-Barbecues at the VD Love Bungalow

-A couple Dodger games perhaps?

What else? If anyone has any great ideas let me know! I'm really looking forward to a fun-filled summer this year, and it's high time we started enjoying NEW things.

Beer Festivus!

Anniversary Trip Photos

I know, it's been almost a whole month since our Aniversary trip and I STILL haven't posted photos. So here they are, well a few, for your enjoyment:
